If a client mandates an editable document with specific sections, confirm that requirement before changing tools. A structured PDF may be ideal for distributing findings but may not replace a required Word deliverable. Avoid choosing software on appearance alone.

Check whether the contractor selection you need can be produced clearly and whether the report contains the right business identity. This tests your workflow, not a universal claim that one tool is faster for everyone.

Choose one source of truth

If you retain Word for a mandated final document, decide how corrections feed back into the working register. Editing a PDF-derived narrative in another document does not update Site Audit automatically. Keep issued versions identifiable and avoid two independently maintained current lists.
