Share an Inspection PDF from Android
Generating a report and delivering it are separate steps. Open the finished PDF, select the correct destination and complete the action there, then confirm that the recipient can access the file you intended to send.

Check the file before opening the share sheet
Generate the report with the intended photos, annotation option, quality and contractor selection. Open it and confirm the project identity, inspection date and relevant items. Keep a saved copy of the exact version you will issue.
A filename alone is not enough when several reports were generated during review. Check a distinctive item and the report scope. A contractor-filtered PDF should not be described to the client as the full project record.
Complete the action in the destination app
Use the report's share control and choose an available email, messaging or storage destination on the Android device. Finish composing or saving there. Opening the share sheet does not send an email, upload a file or confirm delivery.
- Check the recipient, conversation or folder.
- Confirm the actual PDF is attached or selected.
- Explain what response the report requires.
- Review whether the destination is waiting for a connection.
- Confirm receipt or access where the next action depends on it.
The available destinations depend on the apps installed and configured on the phone. Site Audit does not automatically deliver the report to the company named in an issue.
Resolve common delivery problems
If an attachment is too large, inspect the actual file size and your service's limit. Try a lower photo quality only if the important detail remains readable. Alternatively, use an authorised storage destination and verify the recipient's access to the shared file.
If a recipient cannot open a link, check its access settings and that it points to the intended saved PDF. If a message is still in an outbox, the document has not necessarily reached the recipient. Avoid generating multiple differently scoped files while troubleshooting a connection problem.
Preserve the issued version
Once sent, record which file was issued and any relevant delivery outcome. If you later correct the report, explain the replacement rather than silently changing a file with the same ambiguous name. Working project edits do not update attachments already received.
PDF generation works on the device; online delivery depends on the chosen destination and connection. Use the photo quality guide for size decisions, the email templates for a clear request and version control to keep replacements understandable.
